Founded in 1946, the University of Houston College of Pharmacy combines the opportunities and experiences of the Texas Medical Center’s (TMC) world-class healthcare community with resources of the University of Houston, Texas’ premier urban teaching and research university, to offer its students the best possible education. The college is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and holds membership in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
UHCOP offers a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) professional degree; a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with Concentrations in Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes and Policy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics or Medicinal Chemistry; M.S. in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration/PGY1-PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Leadership and Administration residency program with 7 fellow TMC institutions; and other dual or consecutive programs, as well as fellowship and residency programs.

When do you apply after high school or after 2nd year undergraduate?
Hello - You would apply after completing your undergraduate prerequisite courses. The timeline will vary depending on how many courses you take per semester and whether you plan on completing prereqs only or earning a bachelor's degree. If you're doing prereqs only, then you'll likely start the application process during your second year of college.
